The 33rd Stamford Striders St Valentine’s Day 30k
Sunday 14th February 2027
11am start
Race Information
Parking :
If you live locally, please arrive on foot. If you don't, please car share where possible and use PE9 1HE for your Sat Nav.
Signs and marshals will direct you to car parks near race HQ. There is a new car park system in operation in 2026, and we will park the earliest arrivals at the nearest locations, so please allow marshals to guide you, even if you have attended the event before. The fursthest car park is a 10-15 min walk (6-7 min warm up jog) from race HQ.
Please do not park on residential roads. We have plenty of off-road parking, and if we annoy the locals we risk losing permission for the event in future.
RACE NUMBERS AND TIMING CHIPS ARE ISSUED FROM RACE HQ AT REGISTRATION
Saturday 13th February 2027, open for registration from 9.30am to 11am
We are opening on Saturday again to encourage those who live in the vicinity to register and collect their numbers and timing chips which we hope will reduce congestion on race day and make the whole experience easier and more enjoyable for all.
Sunday 14th Feb 2027 (race day), open for registration from 9am

The start :

The course :
A pleasant, scenic, rural course. Please help us keep it that way by discarding litter at drinks stations, marshal points or KM markers, which are all carefully cleared after the race. Course map available here.
Water stations :
Approximately every 5k
Jelly babies will be on offer at water stations.
Headset Policy :
Under standard UKA rules 'in ear' and 'over ear' earphones are not allowed, 'bone conductor' type headsets are allowed. We accept this type of headset with the proviso that our race is run almost entirely on public roads open to traffic. So for your safety and the safety of others, runners using bone conductor headsets must ensure that they are completely and fully able to hear the ambient sounds of traffic, other runners and marshals at all times. We love our race – we hope you love our race – safety is critical for the event to be able to continue so please help the cause – if you really really must have them don’t use them like ghetto blasters! Our preference is that you leave them at home.
Cut off time:
The cut off is 4 hours, subject to a Safety Officer's decision on the day.
The Finish :
The race finishes on the sports field at the school. When you cross the line, please keep moving, in finishing order, along the funnel. Water and edible treats available as you finish.
