Stamford Striders is a private running club with the aims and objectives set out in our constitution. We are a non-commercial organisation.

In order to join our club or enter races or running events that we organise we need to know your full name and address, date of birth, gender and nationality in accordance with the UK’s national sporting body the UKA.

What we collect

In order to join our club or to enter races we collect the following information

  • name & address

  • contact information including email address

  • date of birth & gender

  • nationality

What do we do with the information we gather

We require this information for you to become a member of our club or to enter races or events that we organise  .

Stamford Striders is affiliated with UK Athletics and we are required to provide details of our members to that body.

We will publish race entrants / finishers names, gender, age category and club name but we will not provide any further information


We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties under any circumstances unless that is necessary to facilitate your membership of the club or entry into a race or event or we are required by law.  We will publish lists of entrants and finishers of races but the information will be limited to name, age and gender category and running club where known.
